Über Inquisitorin Amberley Vail erfuhr er von möglichen Unruhen auf Perlia, wo Kommissar Ciaphas Cain seinen Ruhestand an der lokalen Schola Progenium als Tutor verbrachte. Als er jedoch auf Perlia eintraf war die Situation bereits bereinigt.
